Kinds of People To Avoid On Medium
I’ve been on this app actively for a couple of months and I can tell you for sure, this is the app where nobody knows anybody, how they look like, what they do for a living and so on.
I’ve made so many followers in those months I have been active but I know nothing about my followers.Don’t tell me they have their profile picture because who knows for sure they’re their actual pictures?
When you’re new on this app, you are kind of naïve to realize or to tell if anyone has bad intentions. Watch out for this kinds of people on Medium;-a)People with more followers than their following
This applies mostly when we’re trying to reach the 100 followers Medium has set. As a newbie and trying to reach milestone, try to avoid these kinds of people. Don't follow them in hopes of getting followed back.
People with close to a double of their followers are more likely to follow you back and are less likely to unfollow you later. Take note they will unfollow you later probably later that day.b)Some people in your comment section
This group of people tend to dive in your article and leave a ‘Follow back just followed you’ then hurriedly goes away. Don’t get me wrong unless its a ‘follow for follow’ article, this kinds of people should be avoided at all cost.
You see, if you actually read the article, found it interesting, you will most definitely want to comment a thoughtful comment. Maybe add a little hit that you are new or just leave it ay that.
The wrong thing about this kinds of people is that they will probably never read your article again. They are there to only get their followers and go.
The most important thing on Medium is the read time but if this writer has signs of not reading the article, leave them alone.c)People with no published stories
These people will ask you to follow them back but when you look back on their page, their are no stories published. It is always very important to look at writers pages and what exactly they write before you can follow them back.
The reason am against people with no published stories is because this people are probably not on this app most of the time which may not be of any help to you or your stories .Another reason could be that they're not that interested in writing on here.
Read times are the most important thing on this app!!Am sorry for repeating and shouting at this one BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY THATS WHAT YOU REALLY ARE HERE FOR.
Am curious for more types of people that I should avoid on here. Tell me in the comment section weird behaviors' you've noticed or you noticed on this app.
